197 days to GDPR compliance: avoiding fines, driving innovation

The requirement to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is 197 days away.  By now, most of our readers are aware that the regulation affects any organization that captures, maintains, and uses personal information about individuals who reside in countries within the European Union. The swath of global companies impacted is therefore broad and deep. Companies that embrace their data responsibilities under the GDPR have an opportunity to reap benefits beyond Big Fine Avoidance, and bring true innovation to their customer experience initiatives.

DCG’s research and analysis on the GDPR covers both sides of the GDPR coin — what companies must do, and what companies can realize as an outcome of their GDPR investments. Our GDPR practice area page is a starting point for accessing our reports, blog posts, webcasts, and podcasts on the regulation, its implementation, and its implications.

Please contact us if we can answer your burning questions about how GDPR impacts your company, about managing a useful dialogue among internal stakeholders, about understanding the conversations you must be having with your technology vendors and service providers. 25 May 2018 will be here before we know it
